Official source first
Every fee, limit and procedure links to the federal or cantonal page it comes from.

Dated freshness
A “Last checked” badge shows when we last re-verified each figure against its source.

No invented numbers
Where an exact figure is not public, we say so and mark it as an estimate.
Frequently asked questions
What is a rental dossier?
It is the complete application file Swiss landlords expect: ID, proof of income, a debt-register extract (Betreibungsauszug), references and a short cover letter. When several people apply for the same flat, the strongest, most complete dossier wins.
Do I need a Betreibungsauszug (debt-register extract)?
Almost every landlord asks for one — it shows you have no open debt-collection cases. You can order it from your commune for around CHF 17–18. New to Switzerland and cannot get one yet? There are accepted alternatives.
Is the dossier check free?
Yes. Both the dossier check and the rental application builder are completely free, with no signup — they run entirely in your browser.
Can I apply as a newcomer without a Swiss credit history?
Yes. The tools and guides cover the newcomer case directly: what to provide instead of a Swiss debt-register extract, and how to word your application so landlords trust it.
Is my data private?
Everything runs in your browser. Your answers, salary details and letters are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.
